Hyper-
hidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a condition where the body perspires in excess of the level required for normal health.  Hyperhidrosis primarily occurs in the underarms and on the face.  It can occur without any exercise or changes in body or ambient temperature.

Who is this treatment for?

Treatment for hyperhidrosis can be performed on anyone who is experiencing this uncomfortable condition.

How does it feel?

The areas of excessive sweating are injected with botox, just as in anti-wrinkle treatments. The botox interrupts the nerve signals to the sweat glands in the area treated.  The client may feel a slight pinch as the injection is administered.  If required, ice packs can be used to numb the area prior to the injection.

Is it safe?

This treatment is considered safe as injections of botox for this purpose have been used for over 10 years.

Is there downtime?

Clients may notice slight pain in the injected area and some bruising depending on their skin; this will subside within a few hours.  You will be able to return to your normal activities immediately.

When will I see a result?

You can expect to see a result instantly, though it can take up to 14 days to fully see the results.  Depending on the individual, this treatment can last up to 12 months.
