Salicylic Acid Peel

Treatment that rejuvenates the skin by deeply exfoliating the surface layer of skin causing it to peel away, showing the clean and clear skin underneath.

Who is the treatment for?

This treatment can be performed on all skin types and tones, though those with certain skin conditions may not be suitable, this will be determined with a consultation.

What conditions does this treat?

This treatment will help those individuals that suffer from:

  • Acne
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Dry or dehydrated skin
  • Psoriasis

How does it feel?

Some clients may feel slight burning, stinging or itchiness, which should only last a few minutes after the peel is rinsed off.

Is it safe?

The Salicylic Acid Peel is a safe treatment in wide use.  Prior to the treatment, you will review with Katrina a detailed list of contraindications and pre/post treatment instructions to allow your skin to heal properly and mitigate any known risk factors

Is there downtime?

After this treatment, there is only minimal downtime. The skin may have some redness and sensitivity, though this will only last a few hours.  There will be some additional peeling and flaking of the skin, which could happen for up to 7 days. As the skin may be sensitive, it is best to avoid direct sunlight and avoid exercise for 24 hours after.

When will I see a result?

Your skin will feel smooth, soft and will glow after the first treatment, though most clients will need between 4 to 6 sessions to see the best results in their skin depending on their desired outcome. This treatment can be done every 2 to 4 weeks depending on how the skin reacts.
