ABOUT KATRINA
Katrina Keene is an experienced cosmetic aesthetician with a longstanding practice in skin wellness and aesthetic concerns. Katrina is highly regarded and actively engaged within the field, regularly attending national and international aesthetic and cosmetic conferences with dermatologists and leading aesthetic-medical companies, keeping abreast of best-practice techniques and treatments.
With her background as a registered nurse working in hospitals, specialising in oncology and orthopaedic units, Katrina recognized how vital it was for her patients to feel not only safe and cared for but also beautiful within themselves. This evolved into an interest in beauty and cosmetic aesthetics.
Katrina excels at providing supportive treatment for women, men (and blemish prone teenagers!) who are interested in improving their appearance.
Often clients will not know which type of treatment or injectable approach or product will achieve the result they seek. Are they looking for clarifying? Tightening? Illuminating? Smoothing? Contouring? Plumping? With her experience and expertise Katrina offers treatments specifically suited to the individual clients’ needs. One size does not fit all when it comes to cosmetic aesthetics!
Katrina consults meaningfully with her clients to suggest the most appropriate treatment modalities, looking at the “bigger picture” and selecting from a range of facials and peels, in tandem with light and laser treatments and non-surgical injectables (anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers). This can also include treatments for the often-overlooked areas (décolletage, hands and arms).
A refreshed look is the aim. This means no heavy-handed fillers or “Botox-blank” faces. Instead delicate adjustments and treatments can tweak and improve appearance almost indiscernibly, leaving her clients looking their best subtly. “…If you can tell there’s work, I haven’t done my job…”
Katrina works with her clients’ ongoing skin and beauty maintenance routines as well as planning for extra-special events. Planning for a special day or season is a speciality of Katrina’s, with a gentle phasing of treatment over weeks or months to allow for down time, rejuvenation and final pre-event, light & oxygenating treatments timed to ensure, glowing, “best ever” contouring and complexion on the big day.
